beautiful 1963 Volkswagen 23 Window Van. It is a excellent example of this very rare and desirable configuration. It was partially restored between 1988 and 1990 by a gentleman from Vail, Colorado with a passion for all Volkswagens. There is a file with many receipts. Upon his passing, it was stored for 18 years. It is presently owned by his daughter. I am acting as her agent for the sale of the vehicle. It was removed from storage and properly prepared to run and drive ( and new tires were installed). I have personally driven the vehicle and it runs and drives very well. Included in the sale are boxes of parts. In the boxes are six of the top curved windows, four sunvisors, hubcaps, mirrors, AM radio etc.. Included also is what appears to be an original owners manual in mint condition. The radio is an AM/FM Sapphire II by Bendix which I believe is very rare. It is presently not connected, but an aftermarket radio is hooked up in it's place. The interior has the original pass through front seats that are nicely covered with nice seat belts. The dash and steering wheel are amazing. The foot pedals need new rubber pads. The full length canvas rollback sunroof is fully operational but slightly discolored. The headliner is serviceable, but I would replace it for a cleaner appearance.
