Seeking an assistant manager to oversee the recreational retail sales store. Position responsibilities include training employees, receiving, inventory control; maintaining and managing a department budget; and supervising 4-12 sales specialists. Ability to supervise, motivate, manage and train sales specialists; conduct effective meetings with staff and upper management.
Track record of sales management and team leadership in a high traffic sales environment.
Ability to manage and maintain a budget.
Supervisory and business management knowledge and experience preferred.
HR experience preferred.
Marketing experience preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot as they arise.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass a criminal background check and illicit drug screening test; no felony convictions.
Must have reliable transportation.
Obtain and maintain an active Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division key badge.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand on concrete and work for long periods of time.
Responsible for ensuring that the dispensary is always in compliance with all the local and state laws.
Keep accurate records and report information as needed.
Supervises the performance and productivity of sales specialists; organize and conduct effective team and individual one-to-one meetings; monitor monthly performance; and assist in conducting quarterly and annual evaluations. Enforces all personnel policies and procedures. Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training. Spearheads information exchange and the cross training of staff to ensure processes and procedures are understood.
Manage sales specialists scheduling and organization of all sales needs on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to keep the products moving to optimize sales.
Maintain and control inventory needs and costs; re-order products and supplies for consistent sales using a POS. Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures. Researches and performs best price comparisons. Makes recommendations of when to discontinue unsuccessful items and provides suggestions for new products. Creates P.O.'s for new products as well as pricing.
Responsible for opening and closing of the dispensary according to mandated protocols to ensure security.
Maintains receipts for reconciliation with Daily Closing Reports and uploads appropriate data to METRC.
Cash handling and reconciliation: drawer set up and/or distribution of bills, vendor payments, petty cash reconciliation.
Develop, maintain and meet an approved sales budget.
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times and overall appearance of sales floor.
