Summer and fall jobs on a private guest ranch in the Colorado Rockies

Job starts soon! (Jun 01, 2017)

Rio Blanco Ranch is a private guest ranch and fishing lodge that was started in 1920. The ranch is very remote, about 45 miles from the closest town. It is in the Flat Top Mountains, and is completely surrounded by the White River National Forest. The ranch is not open to the public; it is privately owned by about 20 shareholders, who each come during the summer, bringing their own family and friends. We have a maximum capacity of about 35 guests, who come mainly for fishing and riding the ranch’s 30 horses.

Currently hiring Wranglers/Horse Instructors and Servers for our summer/fall season.

Each person's salary depends on experience and position. A fair and competitive salary will be discussed during the phone interview process. Room & Board is included. Will pay for half the cost of travel to get here.

During your time off, you will be able to take advantage of our wilderness setting. There are lots of hiking trails and spots for camping, and plenty of water for fishing. You will also be able to ride the ranch horses and hunting is always an opportunity in the fall. With a little driving, you can also go caving, rafting, or tubing.

Applicants who also send their resume will be screened first. Preference will be given to those who can work our full season, June 1st - October 1st.
